Turkey and mushroom pie- serves 4 people.You can prepare it in 15 mins then cook later when ready.you will need. left over turkey. shortcrust pasty mix,2 tins of chicken soup, fresh mushrooms,veg and new potatoes or tinned new potaotoes from your hamper.cook mushrooms in microwave with a little water. make pastry mix, grease a tin or plate for the pie a deep one so the sauce doesn’t overflow.scatter turkey in loosely don’t overfill. top up with the cooked mushrooms add 1 tin of chicken soup add the top for the pie seal edges with a fork all the way round,brush over the top with a little milk or water for a golden top. poke in the centre of the pastry with a knife, two slits to allow the steam to escape when cooking.when ready for cooking 30 mins in oven depending on fan assisted ovens check after 25 mins until ready.Cook any veg and serve with new potatoes.use the other tin of chicken soup , warm and pour over to add an extra sauce for the meal.lovely

The Canal du Midi was constructed by Pierre-Paul Riquet between 1667 and 1681 (under the reign of Louis XIV) with the help of about 12,000 workers. Riquet designed it in such a way that it blended in with its surroundings and managed to turn his technical achievement into a work of art. It paved the way for the Industrial Revolution.  It is a 360km long canal in the South of France (called Le Midi) full of navigable waterways and 328 structures (91 locks, 55 aqueducts, 7 canal bridges and 126 canal bridges, dams and a  tunnel). The canal connects the Garonne River to the Etang de Thau on the Mediterannean Sea. The canal runs from Toulouse, through Castelnaudary, Carcassonne and Béziers and down to the Mediterranean port of Sète.
