Analysis

Black is one of the most beautiful colors and yet it is the absence of color. Black want everything done in detail. If a job needs finishing, these are the people to finish it. These personalities need leaders, though, to tell them what needs to be done. Under guidance, they are able to get to the crux of the matter and solve very large problems. When put in a position to find the mistakes of others, they are right at home.

How To Make A Pumpkin Crunch Dessert Cake

During the months of October and November, my family really enjoys this Pumpkin Crunch dessert recipe. It takes about 10 minutes to prepare and 50 minutes to bake.

This is a really nice dessert to serve at your Halloween parties or after your Thanksgiving holiday meal. I often entertain here at my home during the fall months, so I will make this recipe and serve it with some wonderful fall flavored teas and coffees.

Old Fashion Recipes for Your Holiday Table: Sweet Potato Apple Scallop and Indiana Apple Yams

Thanksgiving and Christmas meals just aren’t complete without a Sweet Potato or Yam dish.  If you are tired of the same old recipe every year, go back in time and try these old fashion recipes from Southern Indiana when I was a kid.  Yes, that was a long time ago but they are just as good today!

SWEET POTATO APPLE SCALLOP

2 lbs sweet potatoes (3 medium)
2 med apples, peeled and cored
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tsp orange extract
2 tbsp butter

Crust Options for the 10-inch Cheesecake Recipe

So often, home cooks creating their favorite 10-inch cheesecake recipe devote all their energy to getting the body of the cake just right that they neglect the crust. They tinker and tweak, adding flavors and changing ingredients incessantly to get just the perfect balance of taste and texture.

And, through it all, that generic graham cracker crust sits below. Whatever exotic flavors are poured into it, whatever rave reviews the cheesecake draws, that graham cracker crust gets none of the glory. I’ve even seen people eat the cheesecake out of the crust, leaving it lost and forlorn on the plate.
